Agreement
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your use of Lanterns, a mobile logic puzzle game operated by RAEDY INC. ("RAEDY," "we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, accessing, or using Lanterns, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Lanterns.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information in connection with Lanterns. Optional diagnostics and analytics require the separate choices described in that policy; accepting these Terms does not enable them.

Eligibility
Lanterns is intended for people age 13 and older. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use Lanterns only with permission from your parent or legal guardian, and they are responsible for your use. Do not use Lanterns if you are under 13.
Players under 16 may use the game, but cannot enable remote product analytics. The in-app 16-or-older eligibility choice applies only to optional analytics; it does not ask you to provide a birthdate or create an account.
Your license to use Lanterns
Subject to these Terms, RAEDY grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to download and use Lanterns for your personal, non-commercial entertainment on devices you own or control. Lanterns is licensed, not sold. All rights not expressly granted to you are reserved by RAEDY and its licensors.
You may use Lanterns only as permitted by these Terms, applicable law, and the applicable app-store terms. We may provide updates, changes, or patches. Some updates may be necessary for security, compatibility, or continued operation, subject to your mandatory consumer rights.
Current service and local progress
Lanterns v1 is offered without charge. It has no accounts, subscriptions, in-app purchases, advertising, cloud saves, multiplayer, chat, or user-generated content.
Your settings and progress are primarily stored on your device. Clearing app data, uninstalling Lanterns, replacing a device, restoring a backup, or an operating-system failure may affect that information. We do not promise cloud backup, recovery, synchronization, or permanent availability of any particular puzzle, Daily Light, streak, mural, reward, feature, or content item.
If we later add paid features, subscriptions, purchases, advertising, accounts, social features, or cloud services, we will update these Terms and related notices before those features apply.
Acceptable use
You may not:
- use Lanterns unlawfully or in a way that infringes another person's rights;
- copy, sell, rent, lease, distribute, publicly display, or commercially exploit Lanterns or its content except as permitted by law or these Terms;
- interfere with Lanterns, its distribution, security, or other users;
- use bots, automation, scraping, or other means to extract or misuse Lanterns content or systems;
- circumvent technical restrictions, access controls, or app-store rules; or
- reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or create derivative works from Lanterns, except to the extent a restriction is prohibited by applicable law or necessary to exercise rights that cannot be legally waived.
Ownership and feedback
Lanterns, including its original software, puzzle content, branding, artwork, audio, user interface, and documentation, is owned by RAEDY or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Third-party and open-source components remain subject to their own licenses and owners' rights. Lanterns uses the established Akari or Light Up puzzle pattern; these Terms do not claim ownership of the underlying abstract game rules.
If you send us ideas, suggestions, or feedback about Lanterns, you grant RAEDY a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free right to use that feedback without compensation or obligation to you. This does not give us ownership of unrelated material you send us.
Availability and changes
We may modify, suspend, discontinue, or restrict Lanterns or any part of it, including features, puzzles, Daily Light, rewards, and compatibility, when reasonably necessary for maintenance, security, legal compliance, or product development. We will not make changes that unlawfully deprive you of mandatory consumer rights.
You may stop using Lanterns at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or end your license if you materially violate these Terms or if we discontinue Lanterns, subject to applicable law.
Notifications and external services
Daily Light reminders are optional local device notifications. You can change them in Lanterns or in your device settings. Lanterns may link to Apple, Google, or other third-party services. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy notices, and RAEDY is not responsible for them.
Disclaimers
Lanterns is provided for entertainment. It is not medical, therapeutic, educational, financial, legal, or professional advice, and we do not promise any health, cognitive, therapeutic, educational, or other outcome.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lanterns is provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so these exclusions apply only to the extent permitted by law.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RAEDY and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, goodwill, data, or business opportunity, arising from or related to Lanterns or these Terms.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RAEDY's total liability for all claims arising from or related to Lanterns or these Terms will not exceed the greater of (a) $100 USD or (b) the amount you paid RAEDY for Lanterns in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including mandatory consumer rights.
Governing law and venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Except where applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim in another forum, you and RAEDY agree that the state and federal courts located in New Castle County, Delaware have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or Lanterns.
Nothing in this section limits any mandatory consumer-protection law or jurisdiction right that applies where you live.
Export compliance
You represent that you are not located in a country or region subject to a U.S. government embargo or designated as supporting terrorism, and that you are not listed on a U.S. government prohibited or restricted-party list. You may not use, export, re-export, or transfer Lanterns in violation of applicable export-control or sanctions laws.
Apple-specific terms
This section applies when you obtain Lanterns through Apple's App Store.
- These Terms are between you and RAEDY, not Apple. RAEDY, not Apple, is responsible for Lanterns and for addressing claims relating to Lanterns, including product-liability, legal-compliance, consumer-protection, privacy, maintenance, and support claims, to the extent required by applicable law.
- Your use of Lanterns must comply with the applicable Apple Media Services Terms and the App Store Usage Rules.
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no maintenance or support obligation for Lanterns.
- If a third party claims that Lanterns, or your possession and use of Lanterns, infringes that party's intellectual-property rights, RAEDY, not Apple, is responsible for investigating, defending, settling, and discharging that claim to the extent required by applicable law.
- Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce this Apple-specific section against you.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when Lanterns or applicable requirements change. We will post the updated Terms with a new effective date and last-updated date. For material changes, we will provide additional notice when required by law. Updated Terms apply prospectively. If you continue using Lanterns after the effective date, you accept the updated Terms to the extent permitted by law.
